Oozing Delight Cake

- 3-1/2 sticks butter at room temperature shopping list
- 1-3/4 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- 2-1/4 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 2 cups chopped walnuts shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa shopping list
- 3 tablespoons milk shopping list
How to make it
- Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat oven to 350.
- Butter a tube pan then dust with flour and shake out any excess.
- In large bowl using electric mixer beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition.
- Gradually add powdered sugar beating until combined.
- Using spoon stir in flour, cocoa and nuts then mix until combined.
- Scrape batter into prepared pan and spread it evenly then bake 55 minutes.
- Transfer pan to a wire rack to cool for 1 hour.
- Invert onto a serving plate and set aside to cool completely.
- To make glaze combine powdered sugar, cocoa and half of the milk.
- Mix until blended adding some of the remaining milk 1/2 tablespoon at a time until spreadable.
- Spoon glaze over top of cooled cake allowing some to run down the sides.
