- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1 Cup corn syrup shopping list
- 2 jalapeno peppers,seeded and choppded very fine shopping list
- 3/4 Cup water shopping list
- 1 3/4 oz. Powdered fruit pectin shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 3 Drops green food coloring shopping list
- 12 oz. White baking chocolate shopping list
- Paraffin shopping list
How to make it
- Line 5x9 inch pan with foil.
- Butter sides of a heavy saucepan.
- Combine sugar,corn syrup,and jalapeno pepper.
- Stirring all the while,cook until sugar dissolves.
- Take pastry brush,that has been dipped in hot water,and brush down and sugar crystals on sides of pan.
- Place candy thermometer in pan,don't touch the bottom.
- Raise heat and bring to a boil.
- While you are cooking the sugar,mix water,pectin and baking soda in another saucepan.
- Stirring all the while,cook pectin mixture until it boils,remove from heat.
- Meanwhile back to your sugar,allow it to reach 290 degrees.
- Bring pectin mixture back to boil,stirring all the while.
- Slowly pour sugar mixture into boiling pectin mixture,cook for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat,stir in green food coloring.
- Pour your mixture into the pan.
- Allow to cool for 2 hours or until it becomes firm.
- Raise your candy from pan,cut through with greased knife,into 1 inch pieces.
- Melt the white chocolate and paraffin over low heat.
- Placing each jelly on the end of a stick,spoon the melted white chocolate over until completely covered.
- Lay your candy on a wax covered sheet.
- Chill out for about 10 minutes.
- ~Serve with glee...Happy April Fools Day!~
