- tamarind pulp 4 tablespoons shopping list
- Black salt (kala namak) 1 1/2 teaspoons shopping list
- black pepper powder 1/3 teaspoon shopping list
- Green cardamom powder 1/3 teaspoon shopping list
- roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon shopping list
- Carom seeds (ajwain), powdered 3 teaspoons shopping list
- sugar 6 tablespoons shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- fresh mint leaves, chopped 8 - 10 shopping list
How to make it
- Add five cups of water to tamarind pulp and mix well. Grind together black salt, black pepper powder, green cardamom powder, roasted cumin powder, roasted carom seed powder, sugar and salt to a very fine powder. Add this mixture to the tamarind water and mix well. Chill in the refrigerator. Pour into Old-Fashioned glasses. Decorate with fresh mint leaves and serve chilled.
