- 1 LARGE HEN shopping list
- 2 POUNDS LINK sausagE shopping list
- 3 TSP. salt shopping list
- 1 TBSP. black pepper shopping list
- 3 RIBS celery shopping list
- 1 LARGE sweet onion shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
- 1 TBSP. parsley shopping list
- 1/8 TSP. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 chicken BOULLION CUBE shopping list
- 3 CUPS rice shopping list
- water TO COVER chicken shopping list
How to make it
- WASH AND CUT UP YOUR HEN
- ADD CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE WATER AND YOUR VEGGIES AND SEASONING INTO A LARGE DUTCH OVEN
- COOK ABOUT 1 HOUR OR UNTIL CHICKEN IS DONE AND FALLING OFF THE BONE AND SAUSAGES ARE COOKED
- REMOVE CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE FROM BROTH
- REMOVE BAY LEAVES, CELERY, AND ONION FROM BROTH
- MEASURE OUT 6 CUPS OF BROTH AND RESERVE ANY LEFT OVER BROTH IN SEPERATE CONTAINER
- ADD 3 CUPS OF RICE TO DUTCH OVEN THEN ADD IN BROTH
- DEBONE CHICKEN AND PUT INTO THE POT
- ADD SAUSAGE INTO THE POT
- BRING TO A BOIL, STIR SEVERAL TIMES SO RICE DOESN'T STICK TO POT OR CLUMP
- REDUCE HEAT TO LOW , KEEP STIRRING AND PUT LID ON DUTCH OVEN AND COOK FOR 40 MINUTES OR UNTIL RICE IS DONE.
