A German co-worker shared this recipe with me and they are simply delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 package vanilla sugar shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 package pudding powder vanilla (Dr. Oetker is the brand I use) shopping list
- 7 tbs milk shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
- lemon juice shopping list
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate shopping list
- 1 tbs nutella shopping list
- 1 tbs vegetable oil shopping list
How to make it
- Stir butter and sugar until fluffy. Blend with vanilla sugar, eggs and salt.
- Add pudding powder, milk, flour and baking powder and stir well.
- Put small heaps with two teaspoons on 2 baking sheets.
- The batter is enough for 18 small or 9 large Americans.
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- For the Lemon Topping:
- Stir powdered sugar and lemon juice together.
- For the Chocolate Topping:
- Melt the chocolate together with the Nutella and the oil.
- Put the toppings on the Americans when they are still hot and cool them off until the toppings harden.
