How to make it

  • ~ Chokol ~
  • In a bowl,beat cream cheese until smooth,then gradually beat in the sugar,until well blended.
  • Stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla until there are no more streaks remaining.
  • Refrigerate for about 1 hour,then bring out and work into shape of 1 inch balls.
  • You will need to chill these for a while before serving,for the heat of the hand will start to melt the chocolate.
  • ~ Xocoatl ~
  • Combine all the ingredients in a nice saucepan,suited to keep the mixture from burning.
  • Start out with a low heat,then slowly bring to a nice gentle simmer while moving the mixture about.
  • Once the ingredients have combined and the chocolate has melted,allow to sit on low heat for about 5 minutes...allowing the flavours to infuse.
  • Remove the chile and cinnamon stick.
  • Bring back to boil.
  • Serve in small espresso cups,topping off with lightly whipped cream,grated chocolate,and a sprinkling of crimson cinnamon.
  • ~ AHH! CHOCOLATE...

  • Etymology:
  • 'Chokol'...Yucatee Maya...meaning hot.
  • 'Xocoatl'...Nahuatl...name of a bitter spicy drink,cutting the sweetness of the Chokol recipe,elements,helps fight fatigue...hence,giving a force within to work out.
