How to make it

  • 1. soak bread in 1/2 cup of milk then squeeze out and crumb into mince. Blend well.
  • 2.Melt butter in frying pan and brown onions-once soft add jam/chutney,vinegar,sugar,salt and curry,stir then add meat/bread mixture and brown for a few mins.
  • 3.add mixture to a ovenproof dish.
  • 4. Beat eggs and mix with remaining milk and pour over mince.
  • 5.cook at 180 c/350F for 30 mins or until set and golden brown.
  • 6.Serve with yellow rice ( just add a teaspoon of tumeric when cooking) and your choice of veg. Traditionally it is eaten with sliced bananas-and don't forget a extra serving of Mrs Balls!! Enjoy : )
