When I lived in Bulgaria I invented this recipe because the communists wouldn't let Betty Crocker in. It's aptly named "heart attack brownies" because of all the rich buttery goodness!

- 3 C sugar
- 3/4 C + a little more bakers cocoa
- 1 C butter, melted (that's 2 sticks)
- 6 eggs
- 2 C flour
- 3 t vanilla
- 3/4 t salt
- 1 1/2 t baking powder

Ingredients

3 C sugar shopping list
3/4 C + a little more bakers cocoa shopping list
1 C butter, melted (that's 2 sticks) shopping list
6 eggs shopping list
2 C flour shopping list
3 t vanilla shopping list
3/4 t salt shopping list
1 1/2 t baking powder shopping list

How to make it

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, cocoa and eggs.
Add flour and baking powder making sure that all ingredients are incorporated.
Spread into a greased/foured square pan
Bake at 350F for 30 mins
Or if you are using a Bulgarian oven, bake on the 3rd setting for 30 mins.
Allow to cool, cut, and enjoy!
