Ingredients

How to make it

  • In one bowl,cream one half cup of sugar,shortening,and egg...Then in a separate bowl,blend the flour,baking powder,and salt.
  • With a flick of your wrist and a concentrated hand, add the flour mixture and the one half cup of milk...this you will alternately to the sugar, shortening and egg mixture...beating well.
  • Grease and fill a twelve count muffin tin about two thirds to the top...Do not use paper baking cups.
  • Bake in a three hundred and fifty degree oven for about twenty minutes or until a nice golden brown.
  • Now if you have already been savvy and combined the other one half cup of sugar and crimson cinnamon ...Then while the muffins are still hot, flip them out of their tin and submerge in melted butter, then roll in the mixture until well coated.
  • Do as you please...but,I like these with a tall glass of cold fresh milk
