Sometimes Spicy: Mango Habanero Sauce
From FakeChef 9 years agoIngredients
- 1/4 Red Onion shopping list
- 2 Jalapeno Peppers (or more if you like spicy) shopping list
- 2 Habanero Peppers shopping list
- 1 Pablano Pepper (can be substituted by a Jalapeno if you can't find Pablano) shopping list
- 8 oz Mango juice (or 6 oz Mango nectar with 2 oz water) shopping list
- 2 oz Ketchup shopping list
How to make it
- 1. First off, roughly chop (we're going to put the vegetables in a blender in an instant anyway) the red onion and peppers.
- 2. Put the chopped veggies in a blender (food processor) and add a splash of mango juice (nectar) and ketchup (to help with the blending). Blend until uniform (no visible chunks).
- 3. In a saucepan (or any pan), pour the mixture along with the remaining mango juice (or nectar and water) and ketchup.
- 4. Place the pan on a hot plate and stir periodically.
- 5. Let the sauce reduce to about half its original volume.
- 6. Serve with grilled or baked chicken wings.
