- ~ Let The Game Begin ~
- Set the meet on the fire, brown, drain, and remove to the sidelines for a rest.Add the Oklahoma Oil and dance the red onion, green pepper, hot pepper, and garrrlic, making them sweat.Add the red wine, warcestershire and let it steam and simmer to the center.Add the tomatoes and beans.Make sure not to drain them.Throw in the meet and heat up the chili to the boiling point, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for thirty minutes or so.Stir em' around occasionally.Remove their cover and apply the heat until it's done.
- I make these to go with:
- ~ Cover Your Biscuits ~
- Two cups flour, one tablespoon baking powder, two teaspoons dill weed, one teaspoon salt, one half teaspoon dry mustard, one fourth cup butter, one cup sharp cheddar, one cup milk, one egg,one teaspoon seven up.Oven at four hundred and fifty degrees.Dash in a bowl the first five ingredients, blend until mixture resembles a coarse meal, stir in the sharp cheddar.Make a well in center, pour milk, mix with hands. Then wash hands and flour them, turn the mixture onto a counter top that you have already thrown flour across with wild abandon...I'm usually pretty neat,so this is one indulgences of pure pleasure that I allow myself with a smile as I watch the dust particles dispersed in the air as it's landing everywhere...and then with a chagrin cursing myself under my breathe as I swipe them to their rest in the waste bin nest...but I digress here.I shall carry on.Pat them to the thickness that pleases you.I don't use a biscuit cutter for these I like to cut them into squares.Place them on a sheet, blending the egg and seven up then lighty brush over the biscuits.Bake for about fifteen minutes or until tops are a nice color.Serve warm.I make a red hot jelly to go with.To complete this lay out for the game tomorrow.I made port wine cheese, and beer cheese, barbecued peanuts, pepper pecans, and mocha walnuts, smokie cheese bites made with smoked cheddar and hickory flavored almonds, and Irish coffee balls made with Irish Whiskey for dessert, washing it all down with shots of Guinness and RumChata
- Now I think I'm ready for the game tomorrow!
