Sunnie's Quick Shepherd's Pie

- 1.5 lbs ground beef shopping list
- 1 small onion diced shopping list
- 1 and a half bags frozen mixed veggies such as peas, carrots, green beans. shopping list
- 3 tbsp or so ketchup shopping list
- 1 tbsp or so Worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 packet brown gravy mix shopping list
- half cup water or so shopping list
- seasoning-black pepper, salt, Original Mrs. Dash, McCormick Montreal Seasoning shopping list
- 4-6 cups mashed potatoes or two bags instant Idahoan shopping list
- 1 cup or so shredded cheddar shopping list
How to make it
- In a 10" to 12" cast iron pan. Cook beef and onion until beef is done. Season beef with pepper, salt, Mrs. Dash, and Montreal Seasoning. Drain or remove most grease from beef. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown gravy mix and water. Add frozen veggies. Cook until veggies are thawed. Top with warmed mashed potatoes. I mixed the cheese in with the instant spuds, and did a round fork design on top of the mashed potatoes. Broil 2-5 minutes until top is browned. Serve. Can add some garlic to the beef. And some dried parsley to the potatoes.
