Pork Shogayaki

- • 1-2 Tbs. ginger root, grated shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. soy sauce shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. Sake shopping list
- • 2-3 Tbs. Mirin shopping list
- • 1 Tbs. Oil shopping list
- • 7oz (200g) pork loin or chunk, sliced. shopping list
- • cabbage, shredded. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Grate ginger root. In a bowl mix ginger, soy sauce, Sake, and Mirin. Set aside.
- 2. If you are using a pork loin chunk, slice into 1/16" (2mm) thickness.
- 3. Heat a frying pan at medium high heat and add oil, then add sliced pork to pan-fry.
- 4. Cook in a single layer on both sides until brown. Add the ginger sauce to the pan and cook for a minute to coat the meat with the sauce.
- 5. Serve with shredded cabbage.
- A bowl of steamed rice and some pickled veggies and luncheon is served.
