This is another of my favorite dressings... I just don't mind it if it mixes with the other food on the plate -- in fact, I often have this on a plate just for that reason! I have this with everything from simple spring greens to an extravagant salad with sliced radish, cucumber, red bell peppers, scallions, and sometimes, even cold brown rice mixed in with the salad greens! Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar shopping list
- 2 ½ tablespoons soy sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup palm sugar or light brown sugar, or honey shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 1 clove of garlic shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Asian chili-garlic paste shopping list
- 1 -2 tablespoon toasted sesame oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup peanut oil or a more neutral oil, such as safflower or vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all of the ingredients together with the exception of the 1/2 cup of oil
- stir the ingredients with a whisk, and slowly add the oil. This is a very thin dressing, and will separate. I simply shake it before use.
