How to make it

  • Peel, slice, and chopped onions to desired size.
  • Pack into sterilized jars.
  • In a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat, bring sugar, water, and
  • vinegar to a boil; stirring until clear.
  • Add candies and continue boiling, stirring occasionally, until dissolved.
  • Carefully, ladle or pour hot brine over onions; within 1/4" of jar top.
  • Let cool to room temp.
  • Seal jars and store in fridge, up to 3 months
