Streusel-topped Apple Pie

- Prepared pie shell shopping list
- 2/3 c. flour shopping list
- 1/3 c. brown sugar shopping list
- 1/3 c. butter shopping list
- 7 c. sliced apples shopping list
- 2/3 to 3/4 sugar shopping list
- 2 T. flour shopping list
- 3/4 t. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 t. nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Keep pie shell refrigerated until ready to use.
- 2. For topping, mix flour with brown sugar in a medium sized bowl. Cut in butter until it resembles cornmeal. Set aside.
- 3. Mix sugar, flour nutmeg and cinnamon together. Toss this mixture lightly with apples.
- 4. Remove the pie shell from the refrigerator and turn the apple mixture into the pie shell. .
- 5. Spread the topping over the apple mixture and pat down firmly and evenly.
- 6. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven until the apples are tender, about 45 to 60 minutes.
