How to make it

  • 1. Pop your corn and let it cool completely.
  • 2. Mix sugar, syrup and margarine on medium heat in a thick-bottomed saucepan.
  • 3. Bubble this mixture for 25 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 4. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
  • 5. Cool slightly.
  • 6. Pour over the popcorn and nuts in large, lightly buttered glass or metal bowl and mix thoroughly with large, lightly buttered wooden or metal spoon.
  • 7. Spread on lightly buttered cookie sheet(s) and leave overnight.
  • 8. Store loosely in covered containers.
  • Makes wonderful gifts.
