Maple, Apple, & Cheddar Pie

- Pie Pastry shopping list
- 1/2 C. White Sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs Flour (all-purpose) shopping list
- 1/2 Tsp cinnamon (ground) shopping list
- 1/4 Tsp Salt shopping list
- 5 C. apples, Tart (Peeled & Thinly Sliced) shopping list
- 1 1/2 C. (6 oz) White Cheddar shopping list
- 1/4 C. Maple Syrup shopping list
- 1 Tbs. Heavy Cream shopping list
- 2 Tbs. Maple Syrup shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven @ 375
- Roll Pastry on lightly floured surface into 12" circle and use to line 9" pie pan.
- Large Bowl: Stir sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Add apples, tossing gently to coat. Add cheese and 1/4 C. syrup, tossing again to combine. Transfer filling to pie pan. Drizzle with cream.
- Trim edges of pastry and roll together into 12" circle. Poke a few holes with a fork, and use to seal the top of the pie pan. Crimp edges together to seal.
- COVER EDGE OF PIE WITH FOIL (prevents over cooking). Bake 40 minutes. Remove Foil. Bake another 20 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to cooling rack and brush top with remaining syrup.
- Cool 1 hour.
