From jgnat 4 years agoIngredients
- Family pack lean hamburger meat shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups cooked leftover rice (I had on hand) or equivalent bread crumbs soaked in milk shopping list
- 1/2 diced onion shopping list
- 2 tablespoons thousand island dressing shopping list
- 6 grains of black pepper crushed shopping list
- 2 tablespoons pepper paste (I get from the Hungarian deli) or substitute catsup shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat together the egg, rice, dressing, onion and pepper.
- Mix in the hamburger until evenly distributed.
- Line a cookie tray with foil.
- Pinch off about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll in your palms in to a ball, and drop on the cookie tray. Meatballs can be placed closer together than cookies.
- Leftovers can be put in a loaf pan and top with the pepper paste.
- More left over? Shape in to burgers, separate with wax paper and wrap well. Freeze for a future meal.
- Put the meatballs and the meatloaf in the oven for thirty minutes. You may turn the meatballs halfway through.
- Double check with a sharp knife if the meatloaf is done, and if not, bake for another fifteen minutes.
- The meatballs may be packaged for freezing once cooled.
