Dollar Store Dirty Hash

- 1 14oz bag of frozen "tater rounds" or whatever tater tots/french fries you happen to have shopping list
- 1 7oz tube(?) of ground pork sausage shopping list
- ½ Medium yellow onion, diced shopping list
- 3 cloves of garlic, diced shopping list
- ¼ cup jalapeños, diced, optional shopping list
- Oil for frying shopping list
- Whatever spices/herbs you have on hand. I used adobo, chili powder, paprika, cumin, roasted ground coriander, and ground sage. shopping list
How to make it
- In a large sauté pan (with a lid) over medium to low heat, add literally everything. If the sausage isn't frozen, roughly chop it up, give it all a quick few turns with a spatula, put the lid on and leave it for 3-5 mins.
- Come back and after the frozen taters have softened up, give it a more thorough chop and mix well. Set the lid on, put the heat on low and leave it for another 5-7 mins.
- Repeat this chop/mix, lid, cook on low for 5-7 mins method at least twice. If you like your potatoes extra crispy do it a third time. Serve with eggs, corn tortillas, avocado, fruit, whatever you want. This is a dish I've made many times, it's versitile and cheap af.
