How to make it

  • Take a deep bowl or Parat.
  • Add flour n salt mix well.
  • Add oil and crumble the mixture very well.
  • Slowly add water and make a firm dough.
  • Divide the dough into balls of equal sizes.
  • Flat each ball using rolling pin. Each portion must be 4" or 100 mm in diameter.
  • Heat a non stick griddle , place the bhakri on it.
  • Cook it on medium flame putting light pressure on the bhakri with a muslin cloth or wooden pressure, till light brown spots appear on one side.
  • Flip it over and cook it on other side till light brown spots appear.
  • Then turn it on the high flame and cook on both sides till it puffs ups and brown spots appear on both sides.
  • Remove from the flames and smear it with 1tsp ghee ( clarified butter).
  • Repeat same for rest bhakri and serve.
