- 2 cups caster sugar or Regular, (Caster is finer and dissolves faster) shopping list
- 2 Eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract shopping list
- >>>Melt Ingredients: shopping list
- 185g butter shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup, (Light Corn Syrup) shopping list
- >>>Boil Ingredients: shopping list
- 2 cups Milk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Bicarbonate Soda shopping list
- >>>Sift Ingredients: shopping list
- 2 cups Plain Flour shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat Oven: 180 degrees C, (356 degrees F),
- Prepare 20cm cake pan. *NOTE: This cake batter is very wet, Don't use a springform cake pan. Use a leak-proof mould pan.
- Combine all: Beaten, Melted, Boiled and Sifted .ingredients gradually. Pour into the prepared leak-proof mould cake pan.
- Bake for about: 25 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it onto a cooling rack.
- You can ice/frost your cake with whatever you please, here is a quick and easy recipe I use:
- SIFT: 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder, 1 cup Icing Sugar, ADD: 50g Butter, gradually add boiling water until you reach the desired consistency.
