Basic Pancakes

- 2 cups flour, I make them with healthy flours now that the kids are gone shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda, if the pancakes do not rise - this is to old shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sea salt, pink himalayan, celtic, any kind of sea salt shopping list
- 1 egg, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oil, I use olive or avocado shopping list
How to make it
- Mix everything together, in a 4 cup measuring cup.
- I like a fluffy pancake so I use a little more milk, my Daddy always said he wanted a meal that stuck to his ribs, so Mom uses the 1 1/2 cups of milk. You decide.
- Preheat the skillet so that when you drop a few drops of water on it they sizzle and vanish.
- On my electric stove its between 5 and 6.
- Pour enough pancake batter to form a 6 inch pancake into the pan.
- Cook until the top is bubbly.
- Flip, cook for another minute.
- Serve with warm maple syrup or your own home made syrup.
- Enjoy.

- NOTE:
- My Mom taught me to take the first pancake made, which seldom turns out pretty or perfect, and to make it the TOP pancake.
- Every other pancake you make you slide under this one, to help keep the rest of the pancakes warm until serving.
