Fig Preserves Cake

This is such an incredible tasting cake and so easy to make. I have not made it personally but my catering partner does and it is a big hit when he serve it. Enjoy
Ingredients
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups plain flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 cup fig preserves shopping list
How to make it
- Blend eggs and sugar.
- Mix flour, salt, soda and spices together then add to egg mixture.
- Add milk, oil and preserves then pour into rectangular pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes then remove from oven and put lid on pan.
- Let steam good for 5 minutes then remove lid.
- Drain moisture off and put lid back on.
