Bourbon Pecan Pie

A great change of a traditional pecan pie. This recipe includes bourbon in just the right amount. This recipe makes 2 9 in. pies, and I prefer to use the deep dish crusts... less likely to spill over the sides in the oven! Read more Serve cold or warm. The pie will brown significantly . See less
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 3 ea. eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 c. chocolate bits or chips shopping list
- 3/4 c. Karo syrup, light shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 c. pecans shopping list
- 2 tbs. bourbon shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter
- add sugar gradually and cream together
- Add eggs, Karo syrup, saly, and vanilla
- Stir in chocolate bits, nuts, and bourbon
- Bake at 375 for 50 minutes
