- 1 whole chicken chopped shopping list
- 1 red onion, cutted in half and sliced shopping list
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic shopping list
- 3 inch ginger, sliced shopping list
- 3 tbsp oil shopping list
- tanglad / lemon grass, tied shopping list
- patis (fish sauce) shopping list
- 1 large unripe papaya, sliced shopping list
- chilli pepper leaves shopping list
How to make it
- in a pot, heat oil
- saute garlic, onion, ginger
- add chicken and stir until it changes color
- add 5 tbsp patis
- simmer for 5 minutes
- add water and tanglad and bring to boil
- simmer for 20 minutes
- remove tanglad and add papaya
- when papaya is cooked, add chilli pepper leaves
- season to taste with patis
- remove from heat
- serve hot with patis and kalamansi (or lemon will do) on the side
- best with white rice
