carrots, beans,cauliflower - a cupful cut in medium sized pieces
green peas - 1/2 cup
ginger - 1/2 inch - cut in strips
chillies - 2 cut in strips[optional]
green cardamom - 1
cinnamon - 1/2 inch stick
cloves - 2
salt
How to make it
heat about 1and a 1/2 cups of water
throw in the whole spices,chillies, ginger and the vegetables [or you could steam all the vegetables first instead of cooking them in the water - but if you do them this way,the flavours of the vegetables gets in to the water and everything comes together well]
add salt to taste
when the vegetables are cooked,mash a few of the potato pieces to thicken the stew
add coconut milk - [keep the flame on low]
don't let the coconut milk boil, when it simmers gently switch it off and cover with a tight lid to let all the flavours come together.
