Ingredients
  • 2 packages (10 to 12 oz) milk chocolate or butterscotch chips
  • 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed (cool whip)
  • 1 1/4 cups ground toasted almonds, graham cracker crumbs, or finely chopped salted peanuts, ground oreos, shortbread

Directions
  1. In a microwave safe bowl, heat chips for 1 minute-stir
  2. miicrowave 10-20 seconds longer or until melted, stirring occasionally.
  3. cool to room temp - about 30 minutes, stirring several times.
  4. fold in whipped toppiing.
  5. drop by rounded teaspoons onto waxed paper line baking sheets.
  6. freex for 1 1/2 hours or until firm.
  7. shap into balls; roll in any of the crumbs.
  8. refrigerate or freeze in an airtight container
  9. if frozen, remove from the freezer 30 minutes before serving
  10. yield aout 4 1/2 dozen
