  • Always mix with a bread and butter knife
  • Rub butter into the flour until it becomes like breadcrumbs then beat the 2 eggs in a jug with a little milk make a well in the centre of the flour pour in the egg milk mixture fold through using your knife gently when mixed the dough should gently pull away from the sides of the bowl roll out onto a floured board the pat flat about ¾ inch thick then use a small vegemite glass or scone cutter, line baking tray with baking paper or alfoil, put scones onto the tray bake 10 -15 mins until nicely browned. Don’t open oven more than necessary as scones need a hot oven
