squash cassorole

- 2 lbs ground beef shopping list
- 2 bags of frozen squash or about 10 medium size fresh picked squash ( perferably) shopping list
- 1 pack bacon or about 8 slices ( cut into thin slices or size desired) shopping list
- 1 medium onion ( diced into cubes) shopping list
- 1 bellpepper (diced into cubes) shopping list
- 1 stick of butter shopping list
- 2 pack of chedder cheese shopping list
- 2 pack of mozerella cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a sauce pan begin cooking the ground beef. Drain once done.
- In the same sauce pan, begin cooking bacon until crispy. Put on plate with paper towel to soak some of the oil...(note: once bacon cool it will become crispier, be sure not to over cook or burn).
- In a large pot add a half stick of butter and the squash, onions, and bellpepper. Add salt and pepper to taste, continue to cook with lid on pot under medium heat or until squash is tender. Do Not Drain
- Preheat oven to 375
- While oven is heating begin mixing all the cooked ingredients in a baking dish. Once properly mixed add 1 pack of each cheese. Stir cheese into dish making sure its mixed evenly. Take the remaining 2 packs of cheese and spread on top of cassarole making sure all cornors are covered.
- Put in oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. ( and for those who would like to brown the cheese, go ahead it just make it that much better).
