Vienna Strawberry Pie

VIENNA STRAWBERRY PIE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wasters Estate in Van, Texas in 1992.
Ingredients
- 9 inch baked pie shell shopping list
- 3 ounces cream cheese shopping list
- 30 whole large strawberries shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Soften cheese and spread over bottom of crust.
- Place strawberries standing up over cheese.
- Mix sugar and cornstarch together.
- Puree enough berries in blender or processor to make 1-1/2 cups liquid.
- Bring to boil and slowly add sugar cornstarch mixture.
- Cook stirring constantly until thick about 1 minute.
- Cool then pour over berries and refrigerate.
- Before serving put circle of whipped cream around edges and decorate with berries.
