Ingredients

1 5 oz. Box Fideos (or Vermicelli)

2 Tbsp. Oil

To Taste Salt

To Taste Black Pepper

6-8 Shakes Powdered Comino (Cumin)

1/2 Cup Chopped Onion (or Equiv. Instant Minced Onion)

2-3 Cup Water

1/2 8 oz. Can Tomato Sauce

1 to 2 tsp. Chili Powder (Optional, recommended)

Directions

- Break vermicelli into pieces and add to oil in hot skillet.

- Stir-fry pasta until some of the pasta begins to turn a VERY LIGHT brown.

- Add tomato sauce and spices and bring to a boil.

- Reduce heat and SIMMER, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until "cooked down" to about the consistency of "Franco-American Spaghetti", or slightly drier.

******** Serving Suggestions ********

Serve with Ham-Hock and Beans, Carne Guisada, Barbecoa, or other "sopa" spooned over top.

Can also be used as a side dish to other entrees, such as tamales, tortillas, or any other menu where "Spanish Rice" would be used.
