Fideos - Sopa Seca De Fideos

- 1 5 oz. Box Fideos (or vermicelli) shopping list
- 2 Tbsp. oil shopping list
- To Taste salt shopping list
- To Taste black pepper shopping list
- 6-8 Shakes Powdered Comino (cumin) shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Chopped onion (or Equiv. instant minced onion) shopping list
- 2-3 Cup water shopping list
- 1/2 8 oz. Can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder (Optional, recommended) shopping list
How to make it
- - Break vermicelli into pieces and add to oil in hot skillet.
- - Stir-fry pasta until some of the pasta begins to turn a VERY LIGHT brown.
- - Add tomato sauce and spices and bring to a boil.
- - Reduce heat and SIMMER, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until "cooked down" to about the consistency of "Franco-American Spaghetti", or slightly drier.
- ******** Serving Suggestions ********
- Serve with Ham-Hock and Beans, Carne Guisada, Barbecoa, or other "sopa" spooned over top.
- Can also be used as a side dish to other entrees, such as tamales, tortillas, or any other menu where "Spanish Rice" would be used.
