Blooming Cupcakes Recipe
These are adorable. I got the recipe from a local news show that has nightly recipe features. I made them for my daughter and her girl scout troop and they loved them.

Ingredients
  • 1 - 18.25 oz pkg of devil's food cake mix, prepared as directed
  • 1/2 cup toffee chips
  • 1- 16 oz container vanilla frosting
  • 1/4 tsp green food coloring
  • 18 large marshmallows
  • 18 small gumdrops - assorted colors

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line 18 muffin cups with paper cup baking cups.
  3. Stir toffee chips into cake batter, mix well and fill cups 3/4 full.
  4. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool completely.
  6. In medium bowl, combine frosting and food coloring, mix well.
  7. Cover the tops of the cupcakes with frosting.
  8. With scissors cut 7 petal shapes from each marshmallow ( might need extra to perfect this, it took me a couple to get it down at first)
  9. Place a gumdrop in the center of the cupcakes.
  10. Place petals around gumdrops forming flowers.
  11. Serve or cover until served.
  12. Enjoy!
