Ingredients
  • 2 cups ground beef, cooked, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp grated onion
  • 1 tbsp melted shortening
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • milk.....you need it twice
  • 1 egg
  • biscuit mix:
  • 1 2/3 cup flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening

Directions
  1. brown ground beef and onion together, add seasonings and enough milk to moisten.
  2. break egg in 1 cup measuring cup add milk to make a 1/2 cup, combine with biscuit mix.
  3. roll to 1/8 thickness and cut into 6 x 6 squares (about 6 of them)
  4. Pile meat misture on one side of each square, fold dough over meat and press edges together.
  5. cut holes in top and brush with egg and milk.
  6. Bake in a hot over (425 degrees) for 30 minutes.
  7. .
  8. served with creamed peas
