Ingredients

How to make it

  • Fill half a tumbler with large ice rocks, place a slice of orange on top of the rocks slightly diagonally if possible, then fill the tumbler to the top with more rocks so the orange slice appears in diagonal suspension. Pour the shaken gin/campari/vermouth mixture over the rocks, finishing with a splash of soda and a squeeze of lemon juice. Gardnish with something green and benign against the red liquid like a lime twist or sprig of mint. Enjoy!

I recently tried this drink at a restaurant and liked it so I bought the ingredients to make my own at home. I like it because it's not sweet and meant to be sipped. You either like Campari or you don't, it's bitter (orange/herby/spicy) and balances nicely with the sweet vermouth and gin.
