How to make it

  • place mushrooms in a bowl and add 1 Tbs. oil and season of choice, such as italian and salt to taste and use provone cheese
  • OR: cajun seasoning and pepper jack cheese
  • OR: fetta cheese and oregano and a few chopped black olives
  • OR: chili powder and jack cheese and add salsa with the cheese

  • in a large skillet saute onions in 1/2 tbs. oil over medium high heat till lightly browned
  • remove and set aside
  • carefully place mushrooms in skillet and start the toast ,cook for 2 minutes, turn over and place them in 2 lots about the size and shape of the toast
  • place a slice of cheese on eace and cover
  • cook for about 30 seconds or until cheese is melted
  • carefully remove each lot and place on the toast and serve

    I like 'rooms, texas toast and cheese and it's easy. Sounds like a 5 to me! I do a mushroom pizza with the potobello cap being the pizza crust. You just might like it. Thank you for the tasty post!
