Baked Fish With Garlic Crust
Ingredients
- 2-3 Large Garlic Cloves Smashed (more or less depending on tastes)
- 3 TBSP Butter
- 3 TBSP Olive Oil
- 4 Fish Filets - I prefer a white fish
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley, can substitute dried but cut way back
- 1 Cup Plain Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 -1 TSP Dried Thyme
How to make it
- heat oven to 350 degrees
- Melt butter and olive oil in a small saute pan over medium low heat
- Add garlic and cook until soft over low heat about 15 minutes do not brown
- while garlic butter is cooking dry fish fillets
- season fish with salt pepper and thyme
- remove garlic pieces and reserve for another use (makes a great base for garlic bread)
- remove oil from heat and add parsley and bread crumbs until all oil is absorbed and a crumb topping made
- top fillets with crumb topping and bake in oven about 15 minutes or until fish is done and flaky
