- 1 teaspoon of olive oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon anchovy paste shopping list
- 1 large onion finely chopped shopping list
- 5 cloves of garlic minced shopping list
- 1 (8oz.) can of crushed tomatoes shopping list
- 1 (8oz.) can of diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 cup of fresh tomatoes chopped shopping list
- black olives and green olives shopping list
- pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 teaspoon capers shopping list
- mushrooms (i use lots and lots of these) shopping list
- Parmigiano- Reggiano cheese (a must) shopping list
- freshly grind pepper and salt to taste shopping list
- spaghetti or any pasta of your choice shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until onion is tender and translucent. Stir in crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes and fresh tomatoes. Simmer 5 minutes on medium heat. Add peppers, black olives, green olives and capers. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes on low heat, or until sauce has thickened.
