Firecracker Carrots

- 1/2 lb mini carrots (cut and peeled) shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup cider vigegar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon onion powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes shopping list
- 2 dried chilies shopping list
- pickle Jar shopping list
How to make it
- Go out and buy a large jar of pickles from the store. Eat all the pickles and SAVE the jar.
- Fill the jar up 3/4 with the mini carrots. Put the two dried chilies in the jar.
- In a pot, bring all the other ingredients to a boil.
- Boil for 4 solid minutes.
- Slowly and safely pour the pickling liquid into the jar.
- Allow it to cool.
- Put the lid in the Jar.
- Put the Jar in the fridge for 5 - 7 days.
- Eat! (Carrots will be good for 3 - 4 more weeks, but you'll eat them first).
