Hard to beat this great dessert, and when you put a spoonful of vanilla ice cream next to it...perfection!

Ingredients
  • 4 large apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts
  • 1/2 t salt
  • Batter:
  • 2 eggs beaten well
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup flour

Directions
  1. Slice apples and place in buttered 9 x 13 pan
  2. Scatter sugar, cinnamon, nuts and salt over apples.
  3. Mix the batter together and pour over the apple mix.
  4. Bake 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
