Ingredients
  • 8 ripe medium tomatoes
  • 4 red locotos or chili peppers, without seeds
  • 3 green chili peppers, without seeds
  • 1 spoon white onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper to taste

Directions
  1. 1. Cut the tomatoes in half and pour the juice in a container. In a blender or food processor grind the green and red chili peppers, the onion, garlic and tomatoes until getting a fine paste.
  2. 2. Add salt and continue grinding a little more. Remove from blender and mix with the tomato juice you poured in the container.

Hi,

To complete the taste of llajua, you should add a leave or three of quillquiña, also known as Peruvian coriander. If you can't find that then use coriander or try just a hint of epazote/paico(though they taste different).
