Ingredients
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples (a sweeter apple is really too sweet)
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups sugar
  • cinnamon, however much you like, 1/2 tsp. in, 1/2 tsp. on top.
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 8 oz. Mt. Dew soda

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Butter 9/13 pan
  3. Peel, quarter and core 2 apples
  4. Cut each quarter in half
  5. Place a slice of apple onto the large end of one crescent triangle
  6. Roll it up and place in pan
  7. Melt butter in saucepan on stove-top
  8. Add sugar and cinnamon and stir. (sugar should not be dissolved)
  9. Add vanilla and pour oven crescent rolls. Be sure to cover the tops
  10. Sprinkle with cinnamon too
  11. Pour Mt. Dew around the outside edge of pan
  12. Bake for 40 minutes
  13. Best when cooled a bit but slightly warm
