- 600 g Red pie cherry filling shopping list
- 300 g Plain flour shopping list
- 100 g caster sugar shopping list
- 150 g butter , room temperature shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 150 ml Low fat evaporated milk mixed with 1 tbsps lemon juice shopping list
- 1 L egg shopping list
- 50 g blanched almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Pre heat oven to 180 degrees
- Combine flour and sugar . Add the butter and mix with food processor until it is crumbly .
- Keep aside one third of it as crumbs .
- Add the baking pwd and soda to the two thirds .
- Add the egg to the milk and beat well .
- Add to the flour .
- Stir until wet .
- Spread most of it into a greased 22 inch springform pan .
- Spread the pie filling . Drop the remaining batter in small spoonfuls .
- Add almonds to the crumb mixture and spinkle evenly over the cake .
- Bake for 55 to 60 mins .
