How to make it

  • Soak codfish 30 minutes in warm water then drain and put in fresh water and boil 45 minutes.
  • Fry onions in shortening until done and nicely browned.
  • Wash rice and add 2 cups cold water then cover tightly.
  • Let it come to a good boil and finish cooking in double boiler.
  • Make sauce out of water, butter and cornstarch.
  • Take some of each dish on plate then mix well and add 1/2 teaspoon mustard and mix again.
  • Note: This can be mixed all together and baked for 30 minutes
