Ingredients
  • LARGE HEAD OF CABBAGE
  • 2 LBS. GROUND BEEF
  • 4-5 CUPS OF WHITE RICE COOK ACCORDING TO PACKAGE
  • 1 LARGE MINCED ONION
  • 2 LARGE CANS OF TOMATO SAUCE
  • 1MED. CAN OF TOMATOES MINCED
  • 1 SMALL CAN OF BEEF BROTH
  • FRESH PARSLEY MINCED
  • STICK OF BUTTER FOR FRYING THE CABBAGE-PROBABLY MORE

Directions
  1. COOK THE RICE
  2. SHRED THE CABBAGE AND SAUTE WITH THE ONION IN HALF THE STICK OF BUTTER – ADD MORE IF NEEDED-I DO!
  3. FRY THE BEEF SEPARATELY UNTIL COOKED – ADD SALT, PEPPER AND PARSLEY
  4. IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL COMBINE ALL OF THE COOKED INGREDIENTS AND ADD THE BROTH AND TOMATOES
  5. ADD MORE SALT AND PEPPER IF NEEDED
  6. TURN EVERYTHING INTO A LARGE BUTTERED CASSEROLE DISH
  7. BAKE IN A 325 FOR 1 ½ HOURS – 2 HOURS
  8. THIS RECIPE NEEDS NO MEASURING. IT WILL ABSORB THE WET INGREDIENTS AND TIGHTEN AS IT SITS
