Tantalizing Cucumber Catsup

Tried and True. This is very good and we like it all year long. It's really good over chicken and also good on sandwiches. Enjoy. This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Woodall Estate in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1994. Ingredients
- 1 quart cucumbers peeled and seeded shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 green peppers cored and chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 cups vinegar shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne shopping list
- 2 tablespoons mustard seeds in a muslin bag shopping list
- 1 tablespoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Combine cucumbers, onions and peppers with water then cook until tender.
- Put through a sieve or food mill.
- Add remaining ingredients and boil until thick and clear then remove mustard seeds.
