Cherry Pudding Recipe
A pudding cake recipe, scoop from the pan. I have made this with well drained canned cherries too.

Ingredients
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 cups fresh sliced pitted cherries

Directions
  1. Cream butter with 1 cup of sugar
  2. Sift flour and baking powder
  3. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to the creamed butter mixture.
  4. Beat until smooth.
  5. Pour into a greased and floured baking dish.
  6. Mix cherries with other cup of sugar and add the cup of hot water.
  7. Pour mixture over cake batter.
  8. Bake in a preheated 350F oven about 45 minutes or set
  9. Serve warm with cream ( fresh or whipped ) or with ice cream
