This was my Grandfathers trick. Other then myself, I have not run into anyone else that finds their watermelons by this method.

Sorry I guess I was not very clear, been doing it for years and take some things for granted. If you make a fist and turn your hand over then push your thumb nial along the watermelon if ripe it should cust curl like an apple peal.
