Ingredients
  • 1 cup natural peanut butter (or some other nut butter)
  • 3 Tbs Honey (we like our West Michigan wildflower honey...)
  • 2/3 c non-fat dry milk powder
  • 1/2 cup grape-nuts cereal or wheat germ
  • tooth picks
  • ground cinnamon as needed
  • sliced almonds as needed

Directions
  1. In a food processor, mix together the peanut butter and honey. Add the milk powder and cereal or wheat germ. Process until mixture is smooth and forms a ball.
  2. Cover a plate with wax paper. Using 1 teaspoon at at time, shape the mixture into bee-shaped ovals. Place on plate.
  3. Dip a toothpick into cinnamon and press gently across the top of "bees" to make stripes. Place almond slice in each side of "bee" for wings. Chill
  4. ~@~
  5. Makes 4 dozen
  6. 1 serving (6 "bees") = 1 protein, 1 simple carbohydrate and 1 added fat
