sauteed dandelion flowers

- 1 cup flour shopping list
- salt, to taste shopping list
- 1/4 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 24 dandelion blossoms (yellow stage, not fluffy!) :) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp marjoram shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sage shopping list
- 1/2 tsp paprika shopping list
- 3 tbsp oil shopping list
How to make it
- Note: MAKE SURE your dandelions are gathered from an area that is guaranteed not to be exposed to herbicides, etc.!
- Thoroughly blend dry ingredients and spread on a plate.
- Roll rinsed (still slightly wet) dandelions in flour mixture.
- Drop flowers into pan of hot oil.
- Saute lightly until golden - approx. 1 minute.
- Turn fried blossoms onto paper towel and place in warm oven.
- Add oil if necessary after each batch of blossoms.
- Serve hot!
