Sauteed Dandelion Flowers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 24 dandelion blossoms (yellow stage, not fluffy!) :)
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp oil

Directions
  1. Note: MAKE SURE your dandelions are gathered from an area that is guaranteed not to be exposed to herbicides, etc.!
  2. Thoroughly blend dry ingredients and spread on a plate.
  3. Roll rinsed (still slightly wet) dandelions in flour mixture.
  4. Drop flowers into pan of hot oil.
  5. Saute lightly until golden - approx. 1 minute.
  6. Turn fried blossoms onto paper towel and place in warm oven.
  7. Add oil if necessary after each batch of blossoms.
  8. Serve hot!
